    Thanks--your opinion counts!

    Playground Update:
During the week of Spring Break (April 9-13), construction of a temporary fence will begin in preparation of installing our original play structure which has been in storage. This play structure will be geared for some of our younger preschool and primary students. Installation will begin when there is a window of time without rain. During installation, a small portion of our field will be off limits. However, students will still be able to use the current play structure and play on the field. Thanks to our families for working hard to keep this project moving!

Join Ms. Mary K at the International Children’s Friendship Festival:

    Smarter Balanced Assessment Dates:
Viewlands Elementary students in Grades 3 through 5 will be taking the Smarter Balanced Assessment end of April and May. These state assessments are one source of data that the school uses to look at student growth and set instructional goals. Students will be taking an English Language Arts (ELA) and Math assessment. Fifth grade students will also be taking a Science assessment. Your student’s teacher will be sending home the dates for testing. We encourage students to get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast on the days of the assessments. We will provide snacks and breaks. Please contact Ms. Rose or Ms. Klainer if you have questions regarding the assessments.
